Instructor Cockpit for LearnDash is a companion plugin for LearnDash LMS and the “Instructor Role” plugin (wdm_instructor). It replaces neither: it simply gives instructors their own, leaner dashboard.

Finds users who aren’t enrolled in the course yet, not just existing participants.
Self-service two-factor login
Instructors enable 2FA (authenticator app plus backup codes) themselves via “Edit Profile”, provided the “Two-Factor” plugin is installed.
Adapts to your own terminology
Uses your site’s custom LearnDash labels for “course”, “lesson”, and so on: the cockpit speaks your site’s language.
Its own REST endpoints
A lean REST API behind the scenes for user lookup, post-type labels, and essay grading: the foundation for the dashboard.
Built on top of LearnDash and Instructor Role.
The cockpit is deliberately lean: it doesn’t add its own course logic, just a better interface for what’s already there.
LearnDash LMS
Required: the cockpit is built entirely on LearnDash data.
Instructor Role (wdm_instructor)
Provides the instructor/course assignment. The cockpit hooks in independently and leaves this plugin untouched.
The free version is often already enough. Pro adds grading, management, and branding.
The Pro add-on is detected automatically as soon as it’s installed. The free version keeps working fully on its own either way.

Install
Install the plugin through the WordPress plugin directory uploader, or upload and activate the ZIP file manually.
Instructors open the cockpit
Instructors with the “Instructor” role land in their own dashboard: courses, structure, and participants visible right away.
If needed: activate Pro
Install the Pro plugin: it’s detected automatically and adds essay grading as well as Design & Branding.
